Matthew Durden is an associate attorney practicing education law at the Arnold Law Firm, representing primarily charter schools across the State of Florida.  Since joining the firm in November 2022, Mr. Durden has been involved in complex charter school funding matters, contract disputes and negotiations, policy development, employment disputes, and charter school governance matters.  Mr. Durden has additionally been involved in complex litigation over multi-million-dollar funding disputes for his clients.

 Mr. Durden pursued his legal education at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Durden was an accomplished member of the Florida Trial Team, participating in multiple national trial team competitions and holding leadership positions within the team.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Durden obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Florida, and he has experience working in the accounting field.  Mr. Durden utilizes this experience in his law practice as he counsels clients through federal, state, and local school funding matters, as well as the development and implementation of internal financial controls.

Mr. Durden was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, until he moved to Jacksonville in 2013 to further his education.  He enjoys watching the Jacksonville Jaguars, playing the piano, and spending time with his friends and family, including his dog Ziggy.
